Position: Senior Litigation Case Manager
Comp Package: Base to $95K, Paid Overtime, Full Benefits, Bonus, 401K+ Match, etc.
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities for Senior Litigation Case Manager:
- Handle advanced and complex litigation projects
- Organize and manage electronic and paper files
- Able to ensure that all litigation files are maintained
- Maintain the integrity of client files; Assist with document production, transaction and/or closings
- Preparation and court filing of pleadings and other court papers
- Assist with retrieval of rules, regulations and company profiles
- Preparation for interviews, depositions, hearings, trials and/or client meetings
- Proofread briefs, memoranda of law, opinions and other documents
- Perform cross-reference and defined terms checks
- Pull cases, shepardize briefs and assist with and coordinate cite-checking
- Perform non-legal research using various research tools, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, SEC/EDGAR and other systems
- Update attorney and case/deal team binders
- Assist partners, associates and other legal assistants across practice areas and different departments
- Oversee and mentor junior paralegals
Qualifications for Senior Litigation Case Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7+ Years of commercial/complex litigation experience in a law firm
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs i.e., Microsoft Office
- Able to navigate various electronic databases and document repositories
- Strong research skills and proficiency in using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, SEC/EDGAR and other court-related websites
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Work well independently as well as effectively within a team; Demonstrates close attention to detail
- Handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
- Organize and prioritize work; Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Flexibility to travel as required
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
