Attorney Development and Talent Manager (Corporate Law)

Location: New York, NY
Company: AM 100 law firm
Comp Package: Base salary to $220K, Bonus, Full Benefits, 401K+, etc.
Responsibilities for Attorney Development and Talent Manager (Corporate Law):

  • Collaborate with practice group leaders and various committees to plan for future workforce needs, capacity projections and target planning
  • Collaborate with Managers in assigned practice groups to implement individualized development plans through staffing, mentoring, training and other development initiative
  • Partner with practice group leaders to ensure attorneys receive feedback as well as strategies to achieve their goals
  • Ensure that the professional development needs of diverse attorneys, women and those on reduced schedules are being addressed
  • Interface with Partners and Associates, respond to and clarify staffing requests from senior lawyers
  • Attend Corporate Practice group and subgroup meetings to understand the business and staffing needs of the practice areas
  • Ensure that each attorney is fully utilized within their area, having the opportunity to work on and with a variety of matters/partners

Requirements for Attorney Development and Talent Manager (Corporate Law):

  • Track, aggregate and analyze attorney metrics including availability information and utilization rates
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate degree required
  • 8+ years of relevant corporate practice experience in a law firm
  • 5+ years of staffing and hiring experience
  • Experience working closely with Attorneys and D&I team
  • Reasonable level of financial literacy and numeracy, and comfort analyzing data/metrics
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of viDesktop is a plus
